Episode 106 - Gioia - Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Up Your Alley

For episode 106 of "THIS Album..." with William Hann, I'm joined by Gioia!!!

Gioia is an Italian singer, songwriter and producer who moves effortlessly between soulful vocals, R&B, funk and electronic production.

For this episode we deep dive Joan Jett's 1988 classic - Up Your Alley. So naturally, we also talk feminism, leather jackets and David Lynch.

Gioia's latest project is a completely self-produced instrumental EP called Aim The Camera At The Sun. It's out on the 13th of November and is a vibe drenched collection of songs built around samples from 1960s and 70s Italian film soundtracks.

Enjoy irresponsibly.
